Be Part of the "My Art, My Story" Project!

Main Image.

Join the creative journey as we* bring together diverse voices from Marlborough’s newcomer communities. Whether your art takes the form of a painting, weaving, carving, or something entirely different, this is your chance to share your story. Connect through hands-on workshops and showcase your work in a powerful exhibition from 30th August to 14th September at the Marlborough Art Society.

Art Workshops and evening art course for Newcomers

In the lead-up to the exhibition, the Marlborough Art Society is offering free, two-hour art workshops to migrant community groups, providing a supportive space to explore personal stories through drawing, painting, collage, or a medium of your choice. These sessions can be held at your community centre or at the Marlborough Art Society studio. They’re a great way to dip your toes into the creative process, find inspiration, and connect with fellow newcomers.

In July and August the Marlborough Art society will also be running a free evening art course for migrants at its High Street studio. Dates 7, 14, 21, 28 July and 4, 11, 21 and 28 August. 7-9pm. This free art course is aimed at migrants and newcomers who have been living in Marlborough for 5 years or less.

We Want to Hear from You!

If you’re part of a migrant community and want to share your voice through art, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just curious to try something new, this project is about making connections and celebrating the diverse stories that enrich Marlborough.
