Behind every event, programme, and warm welcome at the Marlborough Multicultural Centre is an incredible team of volunteers helping make it all happen.
Here are a few numbers we’re proud of:
⏰ An average of 68 volunteer hours contributed every month
🌏 Multicultural Festival performers generously giving their time and talent
🧹 Volunteers helping with the less glamorous but essential jobs — including rubbish collection and toilet cleaning during the festival
☕ Friendly faces supporting our weekly morning teas and community events throughout the year
🤝 Board members contributing significant volunteer hours behind the scenes every month in governance, planning, and oversight
From setting up chairs to creating unforgettable festival moments, our volunteers are the reason so much of our community work is possible.

Volunteer Marlborough is currently receiving nominations for the community & volunteer of the year award.
Do you know a volunteer, team, business, or community group making a real difference in Marlborough (MMC maybe?)? Now’s your chance to recognise the people whose mahi helps our community thrive.
Last year’s awards brought nearly 400 people together to celebrate local impact — and organisers are hoping even more incredible people and organisations will be recognised this year.
