On Saturday 6 September, the Marlborough District Library was filled with joy, colour, and cultural exchange as more than 80 people gathered for International Storytime.

Families and friends joined us on an unforgettable journey across the globe from the Philippines to Brazil, Africa, Korea, and Latin America through a vibrant mix of storytelling, acting, video, dance, and arts & crafts.

Children and adults alike were captivated by the stories and performances, while the creative activities and dances brought smiles and laughter to everyone. The event highlighted the power of culture to connect people, build understanding, and celebrate the rich diversity of Marlborough.

This celebration was more than just stories – it was a moment to honour and strengthen our community spirit, showcasing how art and culture can bring people together.
